Uptime Monitoring Questions
MySitesGuard provides you with a feature to monitor your website’s UpTime, i.e. whether your website is running or is it down.
Here are some of the main reasons why everyone requires Uptime Monitoring:
- More Downtime equals to Loss in Money: If your website remains inaccessible for a period of time, you will lose revenue.
- Site Visitors Reliability: Your site visitors are your guests. So your aim is to entertain them and guide them through your website, rather than leaving them alone in a place that is new for them. Having your website down is sort of like closing your door in their face even though you’re not doing it intentionally.
- Search Engine Influence: If your website faces too much downtime, it will have an impact on your SEO, and Search Engines might penalize the website which is never good for any website.
MySitesGuard's system pings your website once every 1/5/10/20/30/60 minutes to check if the site is down. You are instantly notified if a website goes down, enabling you to handle the situation before things get really serious. The sooner you know the better. Saves you a lot of time and headache.
No, Uptime monitoring does not drain your website's resources. We have specially designed the gap at which we ping your website for 1/5/10/20/30/60 minutes to avoid any sort of excess server load on the website.
The notifications are a part of the Uptime monitoring feature. Through these notifications, we let the user know about the status of their website so that they can take an action in case the website is down.
There can be many reasons for this. Some of the most common ones are:
1. Your Website has crashed due to some reason. 2. MySQL(Database) server is not running. 3. The website is under heavy load. 4. A plugin or theme update has broken the website.
We ping your website once every 1/5/10/20/30/60 minutes to check the uptime status of the website.
You can change it in specific site options inside of the service.
Servers Monitoring Questions
No, MySitesGuard does not ask for any server password(s) to perform monitoring.
A status information check (heartbeat check) is done every minute by the agent to the MySitesGuard Primary Data Center. The server's uptime is decided by how long it's been since MySitesGuard received a heartbeat check from your server.
Performance metrics like CPU, memory, disk usage, network stats, processor queue length (for Windows), load average (for Linux) are collected by the agents.
Refer to this article to check the scenarios when the agent will declare a server monitor as Down.

SSL Monitoring Questions
An SSL certificate is a bit of code on your web server that provides security for online communications. When a web browser contacts your secured website, the SSL certificate enables an encrypted connection. It’s kind of like sealing a letter in an envelope before sending it through the mail.
SSL certificates also inspire trust because each SSL certificate contains identification information. When you request an SSL certificate, a third party verifies your organization’s information and issues a unique certificate to you with that information. This is known as the authentication process.
An SSL certificate contains verified information about the web site it secures to help users confirm that they are communicating with your web site. Extended Validation is the industry’s highest standard of verification and provides the most visible assurance to users: the address bar turns green in high-security browsers.
When you display your site, users can click the trust mark to view web site identification information, the third party that verified it, and the expiration date of the SSL certificate. In newer browsers, web site identification information may appear when users hover over the address bar.
Yes! SSL certificates are automatically trusted in all of today's common browsers including Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera.
SSL certificates are standard x509 certificates. They are fully compatible with all common server platforms including all Windows servers, Apache servers, Tomcat servers, and many, many more.
Our service going to monitor your certificates, and notify you if renewal is needed.

Broken Links Monitoring Questions
Broken link monitoring by MySitesGuard is a web-based online tool for checking your site health. It scans web site, page or domain of any kind. As result, you can get the complete list of broken or dead links (404 errors) including anchors, images, css links and java. Also, it provides status codes (2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx, 6xx) of every single link, including redirects information (301 and other).
A sloppy update: If you move a web page, file or image on your website and forget to update the link, the resource will become inaccessible and visitors will get an HTTP 404 message. The same will happen if you rename or delete a resource without using a redirect.
A typo: If you misspell the link you are trying to create, it will result in a broken link. For example, if you forgot to add ".com" when trying to link to our website.
An external change: A broken link is not always your fault. Most websites have links to external sources (for example: a link to a newspaper article in which you were featured). Those external URLs can change, even when you don't change anything on your website. And that change causes links to break.

__NOW_DELETE_WEBSITE_FROM_BLACKLIST_MONITORING_ANSWER__
This is depends on the selected Pricing Plan.
First of all, you should understand that each blacklist is managed by different owner. So, there is no central entity that you could contact and ask to have your IP address removed from all blacklists. It is also pointless to contact us at Online Domain Tools. We do not maintain any of the blacklists and so we cannot do much to help you here. We can only give you a good information on how to proceed when you are blacklisted and want to be removed. Here is our advice on how to find removal instructions or contacts:
1. Scan all computers on your network for viruses 2. See if there are any known and needed “patches” (updates and fixes) for your operating system 3. Configure routers more securely 4. Establish and enforce stronger passwords
You want to be removed from any blacklists because databases often share IP addresses that have been listed. If you think you’ve fixed things on your end, go back to the blacklist’s site and follow their instructions for the IP address removal process. Here’s what you’re likely to come across:
- Self-Service Removal. There are a few blacklists with a self-service removal feature that lets you take your IP address off the list without much trouble. However, you’ll want to make sure you’ve resolved any issues before doing this. If you don’t and your IP address gets listed again, it won’t be easy to get it removed that next time.
- Time-Based Removal. Most blacklists have a built-in, automatic process that removes lower-level listings (IP addresses that are light offenders) within a week or two. But if the IP address had sent spam more than once or did a high volume, the time period will be longer.
